Donald Joseph Qualls, better called DJ Qualls is an American actor producer and fashion model. After gaining fame through his work in Road Trip he has since played in more than 20 feature films including The New Guy Hustle & Flow as well as The Core. He has also appeared in more than 22 shows on television like Breaking Bad Supernatural Scrubs Lost Law & Order and others. Qualls, who was diagnosed at 14 years old with Hodgkin lymphoma, is an extremely strong fighter. After two years of treatment the cancer was cured. His body was badly damaged by the treatment and development slowed down. The financial security was his first objective once he began since he'd experienced hardship all through his childhood. When he was interviewed, he stated that if I don't have the financial security or find myself feeling out of control in the world I will be miserable. He also reflects on his childhood and hopes to address the problem of bullies. His experience of being a victim is heartbreaking for him. DJ's ideal job is play a father figure in reel and in real life. The director admits that they don't want to cast DJ in such roles. He'd like to be a dad one day, so he can devote more time to the child and less to his career.
